1. In more iPhone rumor news: the white iPhone 4 might finally be here by the end of this month. This phone has been pure myth online for a while and been filled with delayed release dates. Due to complications with a sensor in the iPhone 4 amongst some other manufacturing issues. Its black counterpart has been by its lonesome for months but we may not have to wait any longer for the new model. [Businessweek]

Copyright school consists of watching an animated PSA (above) explaining YouTube’s copyright policies, then passing a quiz to prove you were paying attention. If you don’t pass, you can’t upload anymore videos. Ostensibly this is to educate violators to keep them from screwing up again, but in reality it’s all about humiliating adults by making them watch cartoon rabbits explain piracy. Unfortunately, there’s no little certificate you can send away for and hang on the wall of your office.

7. There’s new hype surrounding an iOS twitter app by the name of Tweetbot, its the version 1.0 Twitter client from Tapbot. The app requires iOS 4.1 of later and rumored to be worth the $1.99. [Engadget]

9. Speaking of tablets, George Washington University’s Hugo Scheckter fell victim to iPad theft. Being the cunning kid that he is, he used Apple’s device tracking software, MobileMe to track it down. The next night Hugo was able to pinpoint its location, down to a specific room in a Maryland house. He tweeted: “Currently tracking my iPad. It’s in Maryland. Police won’t go after it though, and don’t really want to drive there and fuck them up.” Not wanting to risk his health or life to roughen some hooligans up, he left the iPad but the theft is still under investigation. The person in possession of Hugo’s iPad told cops they’d bought it from someone, and authorities are now looking for the seller. [Gawker]

11. Virgin Atlantic strives to make its flight experience more hip than those other airlines. Just when bragging about the stamps in your passports wasn’t enough, Virgin, Facebook & Foursquare are combining checkins to award passengers badges ranging from “ground crew” to “captain” (50 checkins). 12. China’s overpowering cyberspies are having the upperhand. According to U.S. investigators, China has stolen terabytes of sensitive data, ranging from usernames and passwords from State Department computers to designs for multi-billion dollar weapons systems. Director of Research at information-security training group SANS Institute, Alan Paller, explains that “the attacks coming out of China are not only continuing, they are accelerating.” Scary.
