Barry Diller spoke about the growing tech bubble at SXSW: “So is there a tech bubble, as evidenced by the paper valuations of companies like Facebook, Groupon, and Twitter? “Well, we’re puffing it up pretty nicely,” Diller said, calling the multibillion-dollar valuations of companies with high user engagement but unproven long-term revenue “mathematically insane.”[CNet]

3. Microsoft welcomes Internet Explorer 9! [Mashable]

Internet Explorer 9 had its new debut at a launch event at South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas. So far the reviews have been good!

“IE9 is not just an update to IE8, but a complete rebuild of Microsoft’s popular but maligned browser. It boasts radical speed and graphics improvements, thanks to its increased adherence to web standards and use of hardware acceleration. On stage, Hachamovitch touted its advanced support for HTML5 and its UI improvements. Everything from the back button to the taskbar has been revamped.”

The newest version of Internet Explorer will be available at midnight tonight!

4. Game Changing. How to watch live TV anywhere in your house with Time Warner Cable’s New iPad App. FINALLY. [BI]

“The cable provider rolled out a new iPad app today called TWCable TV, which lets you stream live channels over wi-fi. We just briefly tested the app, and it works! While the channel selection is limited, and you have to sit through all the commercials, the video quality is good.”

10. Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel may have called it quits but the two still remain supportive of each other. And of our friend Scott Harrison’s efforts. Jessica is donating her 29th birthday to Charity:Water, and is close to reaching her goal of $10k. Check out JT’s tweet: [@jtimberlake]

11. The Pope is getting his own Facebook page. But, not the current Pope, the old one: John Paul II who has already passed away. What’s the use? His beautification efforts by the Vatican of course! Is it odd that this makes sense to me thanks to my Catholic School upbringing (it ‘aint easy becoming a saint. duh.) [AP]

12. Will leave you with Conan O’Brien being interviewed by Randi Zuckerberg at SXSW:

Question:“How do you envision media and tech intertwining in the future?”
Answer: “I’m inventing saline eye drops that are going to let you watch TV shows whenever you want. The nasal spray is coming next.”
